Black and More Organization was founded in response to the need for a dedicated support system for the LGBTQ+ community in New Mexco. Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals within the community, such as discrimination, lack of resources, and mental health stigma, our organization was born out of a desire to create positive change and promote inclusivity, equality, and empowerment.
Why We Started:
The founding members of Black and More Organization saw a gap in the support and resources available to LGBTQ+ individuals in New Mexico. They observed a need for a safe space where individuals could access mental health support, community engagement opportunities, and mutual aid programs. The organization was started with the goal of filling this gap and providing a holistic approach to supporting the overall well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.
At Black and More Organization is to create a society where LGBTQ+ individuals are celebrated, supported, and empowered to live their lives authentically and without fear of discrimination or stigma. We envision a community where diversity is embraced, equality is upheld, and everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.
